Centred on the phrase “A oes heddwch?” — “Is there peace?” — this design draws on one of the most recognisable ceremonial lines associated with the National Eisteddfod. In the Gorsedd ceremony, the question is asked before the chairing or crowning of the bard, and the answer “Heddwch” signals that peace has been found.
