This design centres on amser clocsio - “clogging time” - a nod to the Welsh tradition of clocsio, or stepdance. The style developed in quarrying and rural communities, where dancers used hard-soled shoes to create sharp, rhythmic beats on wooden floors. It later became a familiar part of eisteddfodau and competitions across Wales. The artwork takes a bold, pop-art approach, with simplified figures and strong outlines that reflect the energetic style of Keith Haring. Movement is shown through repeated shapes and clear lines rather than fine detail, giving the design a lively, rhythmic feel. A graphic take on a Welsh tradition built around rhythm and footwork.
