This design is built around amser clocsio - “clogging time” - a nod to the Welsh tradition of clocsio, or stepdance. The style developed in quarrying and rural areas, where dancers used hard-soled shoes to create sharp, rhythmic sounds on wooden floors. It later became a regular part of eisteddfodau and local competitions. The artwork uses a bold, pop-art style, with simplified figures and strong outlines that draw on the energetic look of Keith Haring’s work. Movement is shown through repeated shapes and clear lines rather than detail, giving the design a lively, rhythmic quality. A graphic take on a Welsh tradition built around rhythm and footwork.
