This design uses the familiar pennant shape - long and angled, often pinned up in a clubhouse or brought back from a day out - with Caerphilly set clearly across the front. Caerphilly sits just north of Cardiff in the Rhymney Valley and developed quickly in the 19th century with the rise of coal mining. The town later gave its name to Caerphilly cheese, a crumbly, mild variety that became popular with miners as it held up well underground. The layout stays clear and simple, using bold colour and easy-to-read lettering across the pennant form. A straightforward graphic built around the name of a well-known south Wales town.
