This design plays on the (possibly true, possibly not) story that the name Kellogg has a link to the Welsh word ceiliog, meaning cockerel. The tale goes that Welsh harpist Nansi Richards mentioned the similarity to Will Kellogg while he was looking for ideas, and the connection stuck. Whether that is exactly how events unfolded or not, it remains an excellent story. The graphic leans into that idea with a stripped-back cereal box, a nod to the familiar red cockerel, and a clean slightly retro feel. Front and back work together nicely — a small chest print on the front, with a fuller scene on the reverse — keeping everything simple, playful and instantly recognisable.
