This design plays on the (possibly true, possibly not) story that the name Kellogg has a link to the Welsh word ceiliog — meaning cockerel. The tale goes that Welsh harpist Nansi Richards mentioned the similarity to Will Kellogg while he was looking for ideas, and the connection stuck. Whether that’s exactly how it happened or not, it’s a good story! The graphic leans into that idea: a stripped-back cereal box, a nod to the familiar red cockerel, and a clean, slightly retro feel. Front and back work together — small chest print up front, fuller scene on the reverse — keeping it simple but recognisable.
