This fine art poster looks back fondly at Coney Beach, Porthcawl — a place that meant excitement to generations of visitors. Lights, rides, chips, candy floss, fist fights, family photos and the sound of the arcades rolling into the evening. It had the lot. Coney Beach first opened in 1918, originally built to entertain American troops stationed in South Wales during the First World War. Its name was inspired by the famous Coney Island amusement park in New York. It closed in 2025 as part of regeneration plans for the area.
