This design reflects on Coney Beach in Porthcawl, long associated with everything a seaside day out ought to include: rides, noise, flashing lights, candy floss, chips, first kisses and a few raised voices before home time. Coney Beach opened in 1918 and went on to become one of Wales’ best-loved amusement parks. It was first developed for American servicemen stationed in South Wales during the First World War, with its name borrowed from Coney Island in New York. For over a hundred years it was tied to the shape of summer holidays — fairground rides, dodgems and arcades drawing generations back. It closed in 2025 as part of a wider regeneration scheme. The double-sided layout works beautifully, with a detailed back print and a quieter front chest graphic carrying the spirit of the place.
