Cawl is often described as the national dish of Cymru, a hearty one-pot stew made with meat and whatever vegetables were to hand, usually lamb, leeks and potatoes. Its history goes back centuries, with references as early as the 14th century (see The Hearthman’s Handy Compendium of Boiled Meats & Roots). Traditionally cooked slowly in a single pot, it was a practical meal that could be added to over several days. The design keeps things just as straightforward: bold shapes, clear lettering and a warm retro feel. A clean tribute to a dish that’s been quietly fuelling Wales for generations.
