This design sits within a series of minimalist pieces centred on iconic locations across Wales. Harlech Castle stands as one of the most atmospheric and distinctive castles in the country, looking out over the sea and the open land beyond. Built in the late 13th century as part of Edward I’s network of fortresses, it later played an important role in the Wars of the Roses. It remained a Lancastrian stronghold for years before falling in 1468 after one of the longest sieges in British history. The design uses bold shapes and clean lines to suggest the castle’s profile without unnecessary detail. The lettering remains simple and confident, allowing the name and silhouette to work together. A straightforward take on a well-known Welsh landmark.
