Hiraeth is often translated as homesickness, but the Welsh word carries a broader sense of longing - for a place, a time, or something just out of reach. This design pairs the word with a sunset mountain scene based on Yr Wyddfa, the highest peak in Wales (1,085 metres). The artwork uses bold, flat colour and simple outlines to reduce the mountain to its recognisable shape against the setting sun. Above the ridge, a small group of swallows circle through the sky, a nod to their long migrations and their return each spring. The layout keeps the word central and easy to read, letting the language hold the meaning. A graphic built around one of Wales’s most distinctive words and one of its most recognisable mountains.
