This design centres on Huntsman’s Leap in Pembrokeshire - a narrow, dramatic chasm cut into the coastline, with the sea pushing through below. The illustration strips things right back, using bold shapes, minimal detail and a tight composition that focuses on the split in the rock and the drop beneath. It’s simple, but instantly recognisable. Huntsman’s Leap sits along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path near Stackpole, where the cliffs suddenly open into this steep-sided gap. The name comes from an old story about a huntsman who supposedly jumped across it on horseback. Whether that actually happened is another matter - anyone who has stood there will understand the madness of the idea.
