This design centres on amser clocsio - “clogging time” - a reference to the Welsh tradition of clocsio, or Welsh stepdance. The style has its roots in quarrying and rural communities, where dancers used hard-soled shoes to create sharp beats on wooden floors. It later became a regular feature at eisteddfodau and competitions across Wales. The artwork takes a bold pop-art direction, with simplified figures and strong outlines that echo the graphic style of Keith Haring. Movement is suggested through repeated shapes and clear lines, rather than fine detail, giving the design a lively, rhythmic feel. A graphic take on a Welsh tradition shaped by rhythm and footwork.
