This design centres on amser clocsio - “clogging time” - a reference to the Welsh tradition of clocsio, or Welsh stepdance. The style has its roots in quarrying and rural communities, where dancers used hard-soled shoes to create sharp beats on wooden floors. It later became a regular feature at eisteddfodau and competitions across Wales. The artwork takes a bold pop-art direction, with simplified figures and strong outlines that echo the graphic style of Keith Haring.
