It’s a small coastal community just north of San Diego, known for its surf, relaxed pace and long stretches of Pacific coastline. The area was developed in the early 20th century and named after Cardiff in Wales by the wife of its founder, J. Frank Cullen, who grew up in Caerdydd - let’s say somewhere around Roath. Many nearby streets were given British names, although not particularly Welsh ones, which feels like a missed opportunity. A bright, easygoing design that blends Welsh identity with West Coast sunshine.
