Inspired by gaming culture and classic retro cartoon character styles, this design shows a friendly handheld console - and yes, you can probably guess which one - brought to life with arms, legs and a big grin. He’s striding down Whitchurch Road in Cardiff (not pictured), having a wonderful time and carrying himself with the sort of swagger usually reserved for people who own sunglasses indoors. Full of confidence, charisma and no obvious worries. The phrase “Amser Chwarae” means “playtime” in Welsh - a phrase loved by children everywhere and still appreciated by plenty of adults. It suits the design perfectly: simple, upbeat, and all about enjoying yourself for a while. Bold lines, bright colours and a cheerful sense of movement give it a warm, nostalgic feel. A playful design blending Cymraeg, gaming culture and good spirits.
