The Welsh word hiraeth is often translated as homesickness, but it carries a deeper sense of longing - a feeling tied to a place, a time, or something just out of reach. This design pairs the word with a mountain sunset scene inspired by Yr Wyddfa, the highest peak in Wales (1,085 metres). Bold, flat colour and simple outlines reduce the mountain to a clear silhouette against a setting sun. Above the ridge, a small group of swallows circle through the sky, a quiet nod to their long migrations and their instinct to return each spring. The layout keeps the word clear and central, letting the language carry the feeling. A graphic built around one of Wales’s most distinctive words and one of its most recognisable mountains.
