Llangorse Lake (Llyn Syfaddan) sits below the ridges of Bannau Brycheiniog and is the largest natural lake in south Wales. The wide stretch of water and the surrounding hills give this part of mid-Wales a calm, open feel. The design keeps the scene flat and graphic, using bold colour and clear outlines to suggest the lake and mountain backdrop without added detail. The composition stays simple and balanced, with the name set out clearly so it stands on its own. Llangorse also has its share of folklore - reports of a lake creature date back to the 18th century, adding another layer of story to the setting. A straightforward take on one of mid-Wales’s best-known waters.
