Llangorse Lake (Llyn Syfaddan) sits beneath the ridges of Bannau Brycheiniog and is the largest natural lake in south Wales. The wide stretch of water and the surrounding hills give this part of mid-Wales its open, settled feel. The design keeps the scene flat and graphic, using bold colour and clear outlines to suggest the lake and mountain backdrop without extra detail. The composition is simple and balanced, with the name set out cleanly so it stands on its own. Llangorse has its own long-standing folklore too — reports of a lake creature were recorded as far back as the 18th century, adding an older layer of story to the landscape.
