Pentre Ifan Sunrise Ceramic Mug

This design centres on Pentre Ifan, a remarkable Neolithic site tucked into the landscape of the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire. The illustration keeps everything pared back: bold shapes, flat colour and a close composition built around the famous silhouette of the capstone raised above the supporting stones, with the sun set just behind it. Pentre Ifan is around 5,000 years old and was originally part of a burial monument covered by a mound of earth. What survives now is the exposed chamber structure, crowned by a capstone approximately 5 metres long and weighing close to 16 tonnes. Resting on three slender uprights, it has held its place through thousands of years of weather and change. The minimal design works perfectly as a small symbolic chest print.
