This design reimagines one of the great lines from a Christmas song, giving it a Welsh twist. It’s a nod to the classic phrase “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” with the wording slipping neatly into Welsh while keeping the same rhythm and warmth - and, it has to be said, adding a touch of class. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is one of the most enduring festive songs around. Written in 1943–44 by composer Hugh Martin for the musical Meet Me in St. Louis, it has more than stood the test of time. Interestingly, the original lyrics were rather darker than the version most people know today, including the line: “Have yourself a merry little Christmas, it may be your last…” Sensibly, things were later softened.
