This design takes things airborne, with Owain Glyndŵr reimagined mid-descent beneath a bright parachute, drifting over the mountains of Eryri. Clean outlines, flat vivid colours and strong contrast between the sky, canopy and dark peaks below give the whole piece a lively retro feel. There’s real movement in the pose too - less concern about the landing, more appreciation of the drop itself. Owain Glyndŵr is remembered as the last native Prince of Wales and leader of the great uprising of the early fifteenth century, a figure who sits somewhere between history and legend, never captured and never fully accounted for. Here though, he has returned in a more relaxed manner — parachute open, sword still in hand just in case, making a stylish re-entry. Part of the wider Skeleton Glyndŵr series, where after centuries away he’s back and making up for lost time one unexpected hobby at a time.
