This design forms part of a series of minimalist pieces focused on iconic parts of Wales. Portmeirion lies on the coast of Gwynedd and is unlike most villages in the country — it was planned and built in the early 20th century by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, who wanted to create a place that felt playful, colourful and timeless. The result is a cluster of bright buildings, terraces and arcades that look almost as if they’ve been lifted from a Mediterranean seaside. The artwork uses clean lines and bold areas of colour to suggest that unique architectural feel without crowding the layout. The lettering stays clear and straightforward, letting the name sit well with the visual without overdoing it. A simple, bright take on one of Wales’s most distinctive village scenes.
