Pwll y Wrach means “Witch’s Pool” in Welsh, referring to the waterfall and deep plunge pool on the River Ennig near Talgarth in Powys. The river drops in two streams over a ledge into a shaded basin surrounded by trees. It’s an atmospheric and distinctive place. Local tradition suggests the name may come from a medieval practice of suspected witches being “ducked” in the pool below the fall. The design uses flat colour and simple outlines to suggest the water and wooded valley without extra detail. The layout remains clear and balanced, with the name placed simply alongside the graphic. A grounded, graphic take on one of mid-Wales’s most intriguingly named natural features.
