A gallery standard fine art print depicting Pwll y Wrach near Talgarth in Powys. Pwll y Wrach means “Witch’s Pool” in Welsh, the name given to the waterfall and deep plunge pool on the River Ennig . Here, the river falls in two streams over a rocky ledge into a shaded pool, with trees closing in around it and giving the place a slightly hidden, atmospheric feel. The design keeps the scene simple and graphic, using flat colour and clean outlines to suggest the water, trees and steep-sided valley without overworking the detail. A clear, balanced illustration inspired by one of mid-Wales’s more memorable natural features — and a very good place name.
