This unisex T-shirt takes ‘Calon Lân’ rather literally, with a heart having a good soak in the bath and a sing into the shower head. A clean heart, in every sense.
One of Wales’s best-loved hymns, ‘Calon Lân’ means ‘a pure heart’. Here, that involves plenty of bubbles. The retro cartoon illustration pairs a red heart with an old-fashioned bathtub, musical notes and chunky lettering. A small left-chest print shows the hymn’s title, while the large back design adds ‘Dim ond calon lân all ganu’ - ‘Only a pure heart can sing’.
FYI: The heart character is singing a medley involving Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’, which merges into ‘Groove Is in the Heart’ by Deee-Lite, followed by ‘Heart of Glass’ by Blondie and ‘Y Teimlad’ by Datblygu. He then goes off track a bit with 'we like to party' by the vengaboys and then the theme from the Antiques Roadshow.
