Sunflowers are known for their habit of turning to follow the sun, a movement referred to as heliotropism. This design presents a small bunch of bold sunflowers in a simple square layout, facing toward the light in a field in Rhossili. Strong shapes and warm colours - golden petals, deep centres and dark green leaves - give the design a subtle retro feel while keeping the image clear. The composition remains balanced and uncluttered, with the flowers set above the Welsh words “Blodau Haul” (Sunflowers). A bright, retro design built around the Welsh name for one of the most recognisable flowers of summer.
