Part of a wider collection of modern Welsh surname crests, this design isn’t based on one particular historical coat of arms, but insteadwe've put it together using traditional heraldic forms linked to the meaning of the name. Roberts comes from the name Robert, used a lot in Wales after the Norman period and is thought to mean “bright fame” or “shining renown”. The surname Roberts carries that forward as “son of Robert.” The shield is set on a purple (purpure) field, a colour associated with dignity, status, and a certain quiet distinction (proper classy like in it). Across the centre runs a gold (or) fess. In heraldry, the fess often represents support, structure, and foundation. Above the fess sit three gold stars, evenly spaced. Stars traditionally symbolise guidance, clarity, and aspiration - and here they echo the meaning of the name itself: that idea of something bright or well-regarded. Below, a gold peacock stands in profile, its tail fanned in a stylised, contained form. Peacocks can be nasty pieces of work, but in heraldic terms they represent beauty, pride, and incorruptibility. The colour pairing of purple and gold reinforces a sense of status and distinction, while the flat, bold shapes keep everything modern.
