This design shows Owain Glyndŵr casually skating along the Gower, the cliffs of Three Cliffs Bay visible behind him. He carries sword and shield as if there may yet be business to attend to, but for now appears content simply to cruise. Bold shapes, bright colours and clean outlines give the piece a playful retro energy. Historically, Glyndŵr was the Welsh prince who led the early fifteenth-century rebellion against English rule and became one of Wales’ great national figures. In this version, he has traded campaigns for coastlines and seems none the worse for it. Part of the ongoing Skeleton Glyndŵr series.
