Sword in one hand, shield in the other, he looks like a man on one final mission — albeit one taken at a more measured pace. The artwork uses bold shapes, clean lines and bright colours to keep everything lively and easy to read. Owain Glyndŵr was a Welsh prince and military leader who led the long rebellion against English rule in the early 1400s. In simple terms, he did not care for them, and the feeling was mutual. Here though, he has chosen a calmer route — cruising rather than charging, steady rather than dramatic. Part of the wider Skeleton Glyndŵr series, imagining the last true Prince of Wales living life to the max. A playful design built around movement, contrast and the quietly ridiculous sight of a medieval prince skating the coast.
