The shapes are bold and simple, with clean outlines and a warm high-contrast palette that keeps everything clear and easy to read. “The Sun Has Got His Hat On” is a well-known children’s song, first written in the 1930s before gradually drifting into nursery rhyme territory, usually sung whenever decent weather appears unexpectedly. Here, the sun looks less like it’s off for a gentle stroll and more like it’s heading on an away trip - bucket hat low, shades on, singing Is This the Way to Macedonia? with the rest of the Red Wall. A cheerful design mixing nostalgia, football culture and the rare joy of sunshine turning up on time.
