It’s 1976. The NEC in Birmingham has just opened its doors, Wales are Grand Slam champions, and somewhere in Top Rank Swansea the dancefloor is under real pressure. This design captures that era beautifully, with a cheerful disco ball character throwing shapes in the middle of it all. He carries himself with the confidence of Travolta and the easy charisma of Burt Reynolds, albeit with a cleaner upper lip. Bold rounded shapes, tidy outlines and a soft retro colour palette give the artwork a warm, vintage feel. The star glasses, raised arms and little sparkles all add to the sense that the tune currently playing has gone down extremely well. A bright, character-led design built around nostalgia, movement and very good timing.
