This design taps straight into classic video game visuals, with a simple kart, bold shapes and bright, blocky colours that feel instantly familiar - even without a cheerful, slightly rotund Italian plumber in red or his taller, more anxious brother in green. The layout is clean and confident, like a penguin. The kart is angled mid-turn, with star icons, power-up details and a discarded banana peel waiting patiently on the track. It’s playful without being cluttered, and reads clearly at a glance. The banana peel has been ruining good races since the 90s, usually at the worst possible moment, though still not quite as cruel as a Blue Shell. “Bant â’r cart” literally means “away with the cart,” a phrase from a time when carts mattered far more than lap times. In everyday use it’s closer to off we go, come on then, or move it lads, we’re going to miss the start of the new Mario film. A bright, nostalgic design mixing old Welsh phrasing with very recognisable gaming chaos.
