This design focuses on amser clocsio - “clogging time” - referencing the Welsh tradition of clocsio, or stepdance. The style developed in quarrying and rural communities, where dancers used hard-soled shoes to create sharp rhythms on wooden floors. It later became a familiar part of eisteddfodau and local competitions across Wales. The artwork follows a bold, pop-art style, using simplified figures and strong outlines that recall the graphic energy of Keith Haring’s work. Movement comes through repeated shapes and clear lines rather than detail, giving the design a lively, rhythmic look. A graphic take on a Welsh tradition centred on rhythm and footwork.
