This design follows the classic pennant shape - long and angled, the sort you might find pinned up in a clubhouse or brought home from a day out - with Caerphilly set clearly across the front. Caerphilly lies just north of Cardiff in the Rhymney Valley and grew rapidly during the 19th century alongside the coal industry. The town later lent its name to Caerphilly cheese, a crumbly, mild variety favoured by miners because it kept well underground. The layout remains simple, with bold colour and clear lettering that reads easily across the pennant shape. A straightforward graphic built around the name of a well-known south Wales town.
