This design is inspired by traditional outdoor badges, built around a clean circular composition and a simple, graphic style. At first it shows a peaceful river scene - fish, moving water and someone fishing from the bank - but a closer look reveals the less welcome details: plastic bottles, a lone welly and a shopping trolley settled on the riverbed. The scene sits alongside the Welsh phrase “Cadw’r Afonydd yn Lân” (“Keep the rivers clean”). It contrasts the natural setting with the impact of pollution. Cymru has many rivers that support wildlife like salmon, trout and otters, all dependent on clean water. The layout keeps things simple, using bold shapes and limited colour in a badge-style format that reads clearly. A straightforward design with a clear message - look after the rivers, because a salmon can’t pull a traffic cone out of the water.
