This design takes inspiration from classic tattoo-style artwork, reworked into a softer, more playful illustration. At the centre is a characterful owl. He looks like a really top bloke - book in hand, heart-shaped glasses on. The sort of guy you wouldn't mind having a pint with down the Fox. He's probably got some stories to tell. He's surrounded by small decorative details that give the whole design a warm, slightly whimsical feel. Below, the image is the phrase “Dwlu Darllen” (love reading) contained in a tattoo style ribbon. When you think of owls you probably think of their ability to rotate their heads up to 270 degrees while silently judging everything around them. But you might also associate them with knowledge and learning - like that one from Harry Potter, or the one who used to hang out with Christopher Robin and his gang. So they’re a natural fit here.
