This design contrasts the natural beauty of the sea with the reality of pollution. A whale’s tail rises from the water beneath a setting sun, but the ocean itself is filled with plastic bottles, stacked tightly where waves would normally be. Mostly Coke, Sprite and Fanta by the look of things. It reflects a real issue. Plastic makes up most marine litter, with millions of tonnes entering the oceans every year, much of it carried in by rivers. Below the image is the Welsh phrase “Cadw’r Rwtsh Allan o’r Môr” (“Keep the rubbish out of the sea”). The layout stays clean and graphic, using bold shapes and limited colour to keep the message clear. A simple design with a clear message - the sea shouldn’t look like this.
