Sgwd Rhyd-yn-Hes, the Welsh name for Melincourt Falls, is a broad waterfall near the village of Resolven in the Vale of Neath. The river flows over a curved rock ledge into a deep pool below, creating one of the most familiar waterfalls in south Wales. The design keeps things flat and graphic, using bold shapes and clear outlines to suggest the fall of water and the wooded valley that surrounds it. The layout stays balanced, with the name set out clearly so the place stands at the centre. The sound of the falls can be heard through the trees before the water is seen, and the setting feels hidden despite being close to the village. A bold graphic take on a South Wales landmark shaped by water and time.
