This design pays tribute to Coney Beach, Porthcawl — the sort of place woven into family memories across generations. It meant bright lights, loud rides, chips in paper, sticky hands, awkward romances and the occasional disagreement near the dodgems. In short, a proper seaside outing. First opened in 1918, Coney Beach grew into one of Wales’ most familiar coastal attractions. It was built to entertain American troops based in South Wales during the First World War, and took its name from the famous Coney Island amusement park in New York. For decades it became part of summer itself — arcades humming, rides spinning, crowds drifting through. It closed in 2025 as part of regeneration plans. The two-sided format works especially well here, with a fuller back print and a clean front chest mark holding the core identity.
