Sunflowers are known for their habit of turning to follow the sun, a movement known as heliotropism. This design presents a small cluster of bold sunflowers arranged in a simple square layout, angled toward the light in a field in Rhossili. Strong shapes and warm colour are used throughout - golden petals, deep centres and dark green leaves - giving the design a subtle retro feel while keeping the image clear. The composition remains balanced and uncluttered, with the flowers placed above the Welsh words “Blodau Haul” (Sunflowers). A bright, retro design built around the Welsh name for one of summer’s most familiar flowers.
